Description ariell david 2002-12-18 12:31:38 UTC
Version:            (using KDE KDE 3.0.3)
Installed from:    Compiled From Sources

IDE is unable to accept ANY type of project;
I'm running Gideon 3.0.0 using KDE 3.0.3
after confirming a project properties, gideon immediately exits
using 'a=20' didn'T help, too
no add'l plugins installed
simple pick "new" from the project's menu and choose ANY type of C++-project

Can you update Gideon and KDELIBS to a more recent version (cvs snapshot) then recompile
gideon with --enable-debug and see if this still happens?

Please upgrade to alpha3.

Caleb,

i had this problem on my system. i put kdev in the debugger and
determined that when loadPlugin() tried to load a plugin *not*
installed on my system kdecore sent SIGSEGV to kdev.
As a work around, i deleted an obsolete HOME$/.kde/share/config/kdeveloprc.
