Version: (using KDE KDE 3.0.4) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages I'm using Xinerama on two 1024*768 screen, making 2048*768 in total. But I'd like to use the MacOs Toolbar, which doesn't work well: It is just on the left Monitor, which isn't optimal: I have to go over two screens when working on the right monitor(which i use most times). Scaling the toolbar over both screens wouldn't be good as well, as it would still be to far. Is it possible to create 2 independent Toolbars, one on each monitor?
btw: I'm using KDE 3.0.5...could not choose this.
should not be more a kdesktop bug instead of kwin ?
Sorry, don't know. I thought kwin was the only Xinerama aware KDE-Program.
I sohuld be able to fix this for 3.2.
AFAIK the MacOS bar will be replaced simply by an extention to kicker with needed kicker applet. That would make this bug obsolete, since I guess kicker works fine with Xinerama.

bugs always here with kde 3.3 :/ Using kicker menu applet does not help! George Staikos, it will be cool if you can fix it for kde 3.3.1 :D
Still not possible in KDE 3.5.5. Maybe it should be added to the KDE4 wish list.
Currently, kicker doesn't allow the menus of applications to appear into it. This is a killer feature in the Mac OS X menubar because it saves space by drawing the menu buttons in the menubar. If kicker can be fixed to allow application menu to be integrated into it, we can move away from Mac OS X menubar. Else it'd be better to fix the Mac OS X menubar. I don't agree with Alexander's point of having two separate Mac OS X menubar in a Xinerama setup. Ideally Mac OS X menubar, in a Xinerama setup, should draw itself on the primary screen, just like kicker does.
on a Mac the menu bar is only on one screen.
Hi Lubos, Will this be fixed in KDE 4.0 ? Please. I'm now on a 12" laptop and would like to utilize the space to the most.
Just verifying this bug still exists on 3.5.8 - is there much chance for it to be fixed in 3.5.9 or something?
Unlikely, sorry, the fix is not trivial.
If the Mac Bar was reimplemented again in KDE 4, it would be a fresh implementation on top of Plasma, which means this bug report doesn't make much sense for it. It is pretty much certain this won't be fixed in KDE 3 now, so I'm going to close this report as UNMAINTAINED, since it seems the most accurate resolution.
