Description Velex Kitsuko 2002-11-13 19:48:42 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.0.4)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: gcc 2.95.3

It seems as though when I set myself away, either globally or just with the aim plugin, other users don't see that I'm away. Apparently, I'm just never set away on aim.

fixed in cvs, oscar-plugin which is replacing aim-plugin properly goes away (also on
global-away) and returns too ;)

I'm encountering the symptoms of this bug on kopete 0.9.0 (as installed with kdenetwork 3.3.0).

I've posted a bug regarding these issues at:

http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=64916

And begun a discussion at:

http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=226506

I have subsequently been referred to this bug.

The following information about my system may be helpful (WARNING: the output of 'emerge info' is specific to the Gentoo distribution ... some of it is irrelevant):

To clarify,

While the original bug posted concerned KDE 3.0.4 and it's related version of kopete, the problems that I have reported concern KDE 3.3.0, kdenetwork 3.3.0, and kopete 0.9.0.

Since the symptoms were the same, I felt that it was appropriate to post my issue here, rather than opening a new bug.

In short, is there anyway that we could reopen this bug on kopete 0.9.0 and kdenetwork 3.3.0, as there seems to be a problem there?

Thanks for all of your help.
