that sounds pretty much like a X problem
bug closed, not KDE related.
Using kde 3.1.0, I have, on certains pages, the same problem as described before: Having a long page, the visible page is rendered, and displayed. scrolling the page with the scroll bar, make the window to scroll (yes!) but, all the part who is getting visible is black! I must select text, or resize the window to have a paint() action who will display correctly the visible page. I think the bug I oppened before is the same, but the displayed part was uninitialized, now it is initialised to 0 -> black display
It's still an X problem!

not sure it's a X problem, The first report was with a NCD terminal and a redhat or a mandrake server with kde. I'm not using terminal anymore. The test is done in local: :0, with another computer, XFree86-4.2.1-3mdk kdelibs-3.1-7tex

ATI Technologies Inc 3D Rage Pro AGP (rev 5c), Used since 1999 Bug is hard to reproduce, I've got it one or twice a week; today reproduced it twice, but now I can't anymore. Mhhhh, exmining my configuration, I have perhaps a problem, I'm still using XFree86-Mach64-3.3.6 . I will close the bug, and open it if with the XFree86 4.2 I can reproduce it.
