Version: 3.0.3 (using KDE 3.0.3) Installed from: Mandrake Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker Compiler: gcc version 3.2 (Mandrake Linux 9.0 3.2-1mdk) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.19-16mdk I am able to browse for SMB mounts, but when I click on one of the shares then konquerer starts displaying the spinning gear but returns no files. I am able to mount a share using nount -t smbfs which makes me think that the network is ok. If I mount the share using mount then I can view the files within konquerer at the mount location. I am using Manrdake 9.0
I am seeing the same problem. I am using RedHat 8.0 and Knoqueror 3.0.3-14 KDE 3.0.3-8.3 When I type in smb://serverName/ShareName konqueror just hangs for ever. If I click on a share I get a hard disk that spins forever. I can mount smb share no problem and browse it. I get a little farther if I add a "-" after the share name then at least I get a username and password box. When I enter a valid user name and password and then click ok the box just pops up again. I could not find any help document about smb:// in the help file system of Konqueror. I spent some time searching the news group and found many other with the same issue but there are now response how to resolve the issue.
