Description Dan Homolka 2002-10-28 18:46:04 UTC
Version: 1.1.3 (using KDE KDE 3.0.3)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

Konsole creates huge ~/.xsession-errors log file when F1 key is pressed with focus on Konsole window.

Reproducible with no special circumstances. The same behaviour is shown under KDE 3.0.4.

that's a bash bug. you didn't specify it, but I guess you're using SuSE 8.1
Comment 2 Dan Homolka 2002-10-29 10:43:54 UTC
That's right, SuSE 8.1. Yup a problem with the "readline" package.
The fix is to update the "readline" rpm to 4.3-50.

Available here (and elsewhere):

Sorry to have bugged you about it! :-)
