Description Arne Schmitz 2002-10-20 20:47:26 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.0.4)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
Compiler: GCC 3.2
OS: Linux

Transparent background in Konsole and also in Kasbar refuse to work after a few hours. There is no crash and nothing, but it just plainly stops to work. Konsole does not redraw its background at all -- everything that gets drawn on my display is still visible on konsole's background. Restarting Konsole does not help.

This seems to be fixed now. I realised that my SuSE 8.1 installation did
upgrade some KDE 3.0.3 packages to 3.0.4, but when I installed some KDE
package later, it was an old 3.0.3 version, due to a misbehaviour in SuSE's
installation tool.

So I manually upgraded this package to version 3.0.4 and since then I haven't
seen the bug anymore. Therefore I think this bug was caused by some version
clutter.

Please close this bug and sorry for the inconvenience.

Cheers,

	Arne

Closing as package problem.
