Version: 0.5 (using KDE 3.0.4) Installed from: Mandrake Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker Compiler: gcc version 3.2 (Mandrake Linux 9.0 3.2-1mdk) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.19-16mdk When users add me to their ICQ contact list, they see only my number, not my nickname. However, if users had me on their contact list previously (before using Kopete), the nickname is saved.
Every once in a while, Kopete deletes the ICQ's "User Info" data. All fields are cleared and birthdate is set to 2038-02-28. Using Kopete 0.5 build from source with gcc 2.95.3 on Slackware 8.1 (kernel 2.4.18) with KDE 3.0.1.
Kopete deletes my ICQ user data everytime I start it (clears all fields and sets birthdate to 2038-02-28). Kopete 0.5 (using KDE 3.0.4), gcc 3.2 on Gentoo (Kernel 2.4.19).
these are actually two bugs and I fixed the second one in CVS, it now does not overwrite user data on every connect(it only set nickname and reset the rest). For the original Bug I need more information like which client was used on the other side and stuff like that. I don't have problems adding myself on another icq-client (sim-icq) and I immediately see my nickname there.
Can confirm this. Tested with kopete-kopete connection.
And I can confirm that it's fixed!
Since the account data is saved to KConfig there hasn't been any case of lost account information so this bug can be marked as "closed" instead of "worksforme".
