Version: (using KDE KDE 3.0.4) What about displaying the first few chars of messages inside the notification bubble... That would be helpfull for: - directly sorting out spam - not bothering with the 4th CA some people send you - quickly judging the importance of messages... Cheers, Thorsten
The bubble was made smaller just before the release because some people said it eats up too much screen-space. Adding parts of the message will make it grow again. We could provide a tooltip on the bubble so you can quickly see the beginning of a message (then it can be up to 10-20 chars I think).

That might be better however you would still have to use your mouse interupting current work.. What about adding one aditional line (and maybe make it configurabel) About screen space I am using a 19'' Screen with 1280*1028 resolution and aditional row wouldn't hurt too much.... I could imagine it to be a pain on an 800*600 screen but that why it should be made configurable... Cheers, Thorsten
what abbout an option to select, to show one line, the whole text, or nothing ?
I looked into it and it's impossible currently (the message contains html, not suitable for display)
will look into it after kopete 0.6, should be possible now but we are in feature-freeze already.
Added in CVS, not sure if it's allowed to put that into a Kopete 0.6.x release as it's a feature but you can be sure to see it in Kopete 0.7.
