Version:           1.1.3 (using KDE 3.0.3)
Installed from:    Mandrake Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker
Compiler:          gcc version 3.2 (Mandrake Linux 9.0 3.2-1mdk)
OS:          Linux (i686) release 2.4.19-16mdk

set the transparent background in a terminal session, then open a news session (in the same terminal), go the the new session: the background appears broken and irregular for a couple of seconds

Cannot reproduce this with KDE 3.1rc4.
