Description Chris Black 2002-10-17 12:22:41 UTC
Version: 0.5 (using KDE KDE 3.0.3)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

Ok, kopete 0.5 (had the same problem with 0.4) doesn't show contacts as online even when they are for AIM each time. Sometimes it'll show them online, sometimes it shows some contacts online and others not. I've verified by closing kopete and running gaim that these contacts are, in fact, online. There are no crashes so I have no backtraces or anything to offer.

I've found that this happens if you autologin with AIM, but if you log out (just
AIM), then back in again the contacts do appear correctly. (Kopete 0.5)

This is most likely attributed to the AIM/TOC plugin's poor capability to
handle contact/user information after initial setup. The OSCAR plugin (in
0.5.1) should fix this.
