Version:           Gideon (using KDE KDE 3.0.8)
Installed from:    Slackware Packages
Compiler:          gcc 2.95.3 
OS:          Linux

Gideon crashes on application launch (running gideon from terminal).  
Compiled from sources, though not from CVS... tarballed download last night (11 oct 2002)

Can't reproduce here. Looks like a compilation/installation problem.
