Version: 2.1.3 (using KDE KDE 3.0.8) Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package OS: FreeBSD My preferred way of interface with Noatun is to use only the "Young Hickory" system tray interface. I like this because it loads quickly on my slow system and uses a mimimal amount of screen real estate and system resources. This works already, but currently I have to edit the configuration file for this to work. I think Noatun should allow this option through the GUI. This can be accomplished by simply moving the 'Young Hickory' option from "Other Plugins" to the Interfaces tab. Then it will be valid to select just this interface bas the only one.
Sounds logical on the appearance. Will it be possible to convert young hickory to be an interface plugin?
Created attachment 7667 [details] makes systemtray a userinterface one could extend the systray's wheelEvent method in my other patch to allow for fastforwarding in a song when ctrl is pressed
If you don't show the UI plugin, and I should mention there are a few incredibly tiny UI plugins, (Milk Chocolate and Charlatan, for example), that has the same effect more or less. Please convince me that there's some usability improvement by making such a change. Long term goal: The tray because part of libnoatun
Is noatun still developed?
As the original bug reporter from 6 years ago, I no longer use noatun and have no idea about the state of noatun. I'd be fine with this bug report being closed, but anyone else is welcome to continue to keep it open.
