Description mi+kde 2002-09-20 21:07:01 UTC
Version: 1.4.3 (using KDE 3.0.3)
Installed from: compiled sources
Compiler: Using built-in specs.
OS: FreeBSD (i386) release 5.0-CURRENT

Once opened, the Edit->Search Messages window
can not be closed. It can be used, minimized,
restored, but can never be closed.

An attempt to do so will cause KMail to crash
immediately.

Forgot to mention. I first observed this behaviour with the earlier KDE --
from KDE-3.0.1 and KDE-3.0.2. It seemed like such an obvious bug, I did not
bother to report it :-/

Backtrace please?
Comment 3 Ingo Klöcker 2002-09-21 18:31:12 UTC
Subject: Re: crash on closing the search window

I open and close the Search Messages dialog several times each day and
KMail never crashed. Please compile with full debug information
(configure with the --enable-debug=full option) and send us a
backtrace.

Comment 5 Stephan Kulow 2003-04-13 21:20:23 UTC
I assume it's fixed in 3.1.1, it's not reproducable. Please
recompile with --enable-debug=full (as Ingo already said
in september) if you can reproduce it (and reopen the
bug)
