Description Gerhard Hoogterp 2002-09-03 18:12:12 UTC
(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: kmail
Version: 1.4.3 (using KDE 3.0.3 )
Severity: wishlist
Installed from:
Compiler: gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.3 2.96-110)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.18-3
OS/Compiler notes:

It's a minor detail but it would be nice when during the creation of a new mailfolder some settings from it's parent would be copied. Identity and experiation settings come to mind.

Thanks
 Gerhard

You mean they should be set as defaults in the dialog that comes up when=20
you create a new folder? Sounds reasonable.

Wow! That's spooky. I had exactly the same idea yesterday. And it's=20
definitely a reasonable idea.

For me it wasn't really an idea but something I took for granted and was=20
actually supprised it didn't work..=20
But glad to hear (from two developers) that the idea is reasonable.. Should=
=20
improve my chances to see it implemented one day.. ;-)

Thanks

Partly implemented for identity in kmail 1.6. Mailing list e. g. is missing.

Funny that this one is still marked "new" while it was basicly implemented a year ago.. oh well.. As far as I'm concerned my bug is resolved.
