Description Patrick Fromberg 2002-08-20 12:59:04 UTC
(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: konsole
Version: KDE 3.0.2
Severity: normal
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
Compiler: gcc 2.95.3
OS: Not Specified
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified

From the konsole of from xterm I call
#su
then I call
#su myselfe
Command hangs
killall -9 stty # from different console
and everything is ok.
#su someoneelse
will work. Its only the kde user for
whom this doesent work.
suing to myselfe from a a konsole outside the desktop Alt-Ctrl-F1 for example works fine.

Nevertheless not important but mybe this helps to find more important bugs.

Regards
 Patrick

I can't see the relation to Konsole. "su" likely behaves in xterm the same.
