(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: kmail
Version: KMail 1.4.2 (using KDE 3.0.2 )
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: RedHat RPMs
Compiler: Not Specified
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified

Is it possible to include a global configuration obtion for a read/delivery receipt request ? I know there is currently one to deliver the receipt but there is no default when sending an email ..

If I'm not mistaken one has to manually request the disposition notification for every single mail one writes. This is very embarrassing, I'd like to request such receipts automatically for every mail I send.

If I am not mistaken, this option already exists. You can access it under Settings->Kmail settings->Editor->General (tab). There is checkbox like "Automatically request MDN" (or similar name as I have Czech localization installed) there.
