(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: noatun
Version: KDE 3.0.6 CVS/CVSup/Snapshot
Severity: crash
Installed from: Compiled sources
Compiler: gcc 2.95.3
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified

I just build noatun from the KDE 3.1alpha1 sources and when I started it from the menu for the first time it crashed with signal 11 (SIGSEGV).

This backtrace was generated:

I then tried starting it from a xterm to see what output was generated. I saw the following messages on the console :

bash-2.05$ noatun

Couldn't instanciate artsobject Noatun::Session. (This is normally caused by a broken package or compiling kdemultimedia in a --prefix different from arts. It may also be from two conflicting packages so uninstall every arts/artsd package you have installed and try againe.

Noatun still crashed the second time but the backtrace is different - here's the backtrace from the second run :

I hope this is useful - let me know if you need more info.

This is not a bug

1) Install it correctly 2) make sure no binary/lib version
numbers are conflicted when loading
