(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: konqueror Version: 3.0.6 (KDE 3.0.6 (using KDE 3.0.6 ) Severity: normal Installed from: compiled sources Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (SuSE) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.19-rc1 OS/Compiler notes: I used to close the terminal emulation in Konqueror via Ctrl+D. This of course only worked when focus was on the terminal and not on a file window. But now Ctrl+D with focus on the terminal leads to a duplicated konqueror window so I cannot use it as a shortcut for exit/logout anymore. Bug or feature? Hi even worse is that "del" sends its signal to the file window! I just want to use pico in the terminal emulation but I must not use "del" because it deletes files instead of letters. This is really bad. Please fix it. Greetings Jochen --=20 Jochen Puchalla "In a world without fences and walls who needs gates and windows ?"

Adding single exceptions doesn't seem to me the right fix for this. For example #41601, marked as duplicate of this, talks about Ctrl+A which was not added. Better think about a generic solution.
All Ctrl+<key> accels are now overriden, as well as Delete and Tab.
