(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: noatun Version: 2.0.0 (using KDE 3.0.1 ) Severity: normal Installed from: SuSE Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (SuSE) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.18-4GB OS/Compiler notes: Noatun is not able to play files directly from a Samba share using the smb: kioslave. For instance a user could be browsing the LAN through Konqueror find some music files on a Samba share and play them directly. When I try this with XMMS the file is downloaded to the local drive and then played. But with Noatun the download doesn't even occur. It simply doesn't play. (Submitted via bugs.kde.org) (Called from KBugReport dialog)
I can confirm this bug with latest CVS, at least partially. Noatun downloads and plays _the_first_ song in a playlist, if it's on a samba share, but fails to download the remaining songs. However, it tries to play the files from the configured download directory, and that consequently fails.
