Stop Noatun. Start a console and type the following in there: killall -9 artsd artsd -l0 Press the play button in noatun Tell me the output artsd. Charles I don't know if this will be helpful or not but I was poking around and=20 noticed that XMMS (using arts output driver) worked fine until I ran noatun= --=20 at which point it halted and showed output of the same variety as my noat= un=20 error on the command line. If I restarted artsd xmms worked fine again until I ran noatun at which= =20 point it all died again.
