SUMMARY

Kwave busy-loops and thus eats 100% CPU while recording.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open the Record dialog
2. (possibly) select a PulseAudio input
3. click Record

OBSERVED RESULT

The computer's fan starts up, noising up my recording, because kwave eats 100% CPU.

EXPECTED RESULT

The computer's fan stays quiet.

Data point: Audacity requires ~10% on this machine, using the same settings.
