1. Open konqueror in a file directory
2. VIEW->PREVIEW
3. Uncheck SOUND
4. Sound is still previewed.

The setting will take effect when konqueror is restarted.  

I assume this isn't the desired way to stop previewing sound files.

Bug 45673 is not a duplicate of this bug. 
 
while i can't confirm this one, i'm sure that sound previews continue if the mouse 
leaves the current window without leaving the icon first (see bug 45673)

I cannot reproduce the bug, I guess it was fixed in 3.0 by this commit:
