I think it would be great to have some more columns (optional) in the message list. For example "Sent from" in the "Sent Mails" folder.

Kmail 1.6 has a lot more selectable fields.

Are we using different KMail versions? I can only choose Size on or off for 
the message view columns. Where can I get your version of KMail? I use KMail 
from yesterdays CVS.

Personally, I'd wish there was an (optional) column "amount of messages" in front of each closed thread like this:

(12) Bug Report: Kmail
     Greetings from Linus
 (2) Invitation: LT2K4

Threads should optionally open with new (=red) mail rather than with unread (blue) mail.
