(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: kdesktop Version: KDE 3.0.1 Severity: normal Installed from: SuSE Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (SuSE) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.10-4GB OS/Compiler notes: 1. Press Alt+F2 (run command and right click the prompt. There is no option below text completition. Now Now type something in the prompt and right click it you have a new option "Empty Contents". Notice that empty contents is different from the option "clear". "clear" cleans the contents of the prompt "empty contents" clears the history of used by the auto-completition. You shouldn't have to type something to be able to clear the history. 2. I don't like the name "empty contents". It seems like it is supposed to clear the prompt. 3. There seems to be no way to clear the history of prompts in web pages. Go to google if you type stuff there than you can use auto-completition. If you right click the prompt there is never an "empty contents" option. (Submitted via bugs.kde.org) (Called from KBugReport dialog. Fields Application manually changed)
Konqueror now does have a way to clear it, and uses the name "Clear History" - I agree I like that better. I need to ask mlaurent why we only show the clear history option when there is text in the textbox, then I'll commit the changes to HEAD and close this.
