Description Alan W. Irwin 2002-05-26 03:08:34 UTC
(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: noatun
Version: KDE 3.0.1
Severity: normal
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: gcc 2.95.4-14
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Debian woody but normal build rather than Debian build

This is similar to really old noatun bug reports for startup crashes with KDE 2.x but I am making a new report since this is KDE 3.0.1 and it is somewhat dissimilar in the sense that after a computer reset notaun works fine from then on.

Briefly the symptoms were that during my *first* use of noatun for KDE 3.0.1 I deleted my playlist from a CD I had mounted on my first drive umounted that CD remounted that same CD in a second drive and used the
select directory feature to fill in the playlist again.
That sequence hung the playlist the second drive light went on continually and I was in the middle of some more command line stuff to see what was wrong when the keyboard froze. I couldn't get to a console I couldn't even remotely log in to the machine. It was completely cooked so I had to hit the reset button.

After the reset anything I did to the noatun playlist seemed to work fine. So I suspect this bizarre one-time symptom was due to some initialization bug.

Well, as I've never seen this before (or since), I'm just going
to close it. Apparently you have not seen this since either.
