What is Kasbar ? Every transparent setting is disabled in the konsole schema settings. I have created a new schema. Transparent Konsole works. Only a backgroud image makes problems. have fun Felix P.S. I will check the kdelib 3.0.1 thing tomorrow at work. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE87U4DS0DOrvdnsewRAh3qAKCANM+OZn/DyIJj3f6rMha9RJAR8QCeNmtf ZwO7cuucuqOmZbacgVlegI0= =rnsM -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

Can't remember this ever being a problem. Perhaps you compiled Qt without gif/jpg support?

Some very easy steps to "fix" it: - "Settings/Configure Konsole...", Choose "Schema" tab, choose "Manga" schema - Select "1 - Background Color" - Check "Transparent" - "Save Schema..."
