Description Frank Gore 2002-05-15 02:03:49 UTC
(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: konsole
Version: 1.1 (using KDE 3.0.0 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: RedHat RPMs
Compiler: Not Specified
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified

Hi

The End and Home keys do not work properly in konsole 1.1 (KDE 3.0)

On a Redhat Linux 7.3 fresh installation when using some programs like less lynx etc. with konsole the Home and End keys do not work (they used to work OK with the previous versions of konsole/KDE).

However they do work fine in other X terminals like xterm Gnome Terminal etc.

I would like to find a workaround until a fix is released.

Frank

Can't reproduce it in KDE-3.1b1 in less or lynx. Maybe check your .inputrc or
/etc/inputrc ?

It does not work for me when keyboard is set to Linux-Console or Xterm(XF3xx). On the real Console I get to the beginning of the line when pressing Home, however. Switching to Keyboard=Xterm(XF4xx) seems to work fine. I must admit, I do not really know the difference between these layouts.

Same bug appears in konsole 1.3.2, KDE 3.2.3 ... NOT RESOLVED
