(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: konsole Version: 1.1 (using KDE 3.0.0 ) Severity: normal Installed from: Red Hat Linux 7.2.92 Compiler: gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.2 2.96-109) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.9-31 OS/Compiler notes: The setting: I have the default 4 desktops. I have 2 konsole windows on desktop 1 and another 2 konsole windows on desktop 2. All 4 are set to a transparent scheme (ie. root window background picture shining through). I leave these 4 windows open and logout. The bug: After login and KDE startup I'm on desktop 1 and both konsole windows on desktop 1 show the correct respective background image. However switching to desktop 2 the konsole windows there do *not* show their respective root window portions as background image. Instead both windows show the same image which appears to be taken from the center (horizontally) of the root window warped by about 1/3 screen size in y direction. Note 1: This is only a startup problem. The correct images appear if those konsole windows are resized or moved. Note 2: This might be related to an anomaly I see in the pager. On startup the window positions and sizes of windows on desktops other than #1 do not appear correctly in the pager window. All windows seems to be too small. However when switching to the corresponding desktop the windows appear in the right place and size and the pager updates that desktop's view to the correct window placement. Cannot reproduce this with KDE 3.1rc4. I believe that perhaps also fixed in higher 3.0.x versions.
