Description Canet G 2002-04-17 08:33:06 UTC
(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package:           korganizer
Version:           KDE 3.0.0
Severity:          wishlist
Installed from:    Mandrake RPMs
Compiler:          Not Specified
OS:                Not Specified
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified

I'd love active to-do's to be displayed in another font than inactive to-do's as in says MS Schedule+.

Then it would be possible to quickly discriminate what is really to be done at present. I think this feature would make KOrganizer perfect ;) (with my congratulations to all of the developers).

Could you please explain what you mean with "active todo"?

For instance an active to-do could be defined as being in the interval=20
[begin_date end_date]. Or could be activated several days before begin_dat=
e.=20
If I define a lot a todos I cannot see at first sight what must be done no=
w=20
or later. I'd love a feature that could allow me to discriminate in less th=
an=20
a second between immediate and future tasks.

Hi Ganet,
Note that in the latest developer version of korganizer, you can hide inactive todos (i.e. todos, which have not yet reached their start date). This is not exactly what you request, but it's a first step in that direction.

Cheers,
Reinhold

I have two additional ideas concerning this feature:
- One could use filter options to select between active and inactive todos
- for recurring todos (for example one that is active from december 1 to december 31 every year) it'd be good to have it show up in the time frame it is active until it is completed only to show up the next time next year. This could be very handy for yearly todos as for example the tax declaration which have to be done in a certain date-range every year.

Reassigning all KOrganizer bug reports and wishes to the newly created
korganizer-devel mailing list.

I think the current korganizer version gives resolves this bug report :

- Inactive tasks can be hidden (after creating a filter). You can also create a filter to display only the active tasks and easily switch.
- The events can be ordered by Due Date/Time
- The active events have a different background color
