(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: konsole Version: KDE 3.0.0 Severity: normal Installed from: RedHat RPMs Compiler: Not Specified OS: Linux OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified I really enjoy the graphical configuration utility included in the KDE-3.0 version of Konsole. However I noticed that while the colors I select as a part of my Schema are used by most applications such as Vim the colors output by the 'ls' command seem to remain at the same color. Interestingly enough if I do the same task with another terminal (modify the color scheme) the changes are reflected immediately and as I would expect them to be. I'm somewhat familiar with the 'dircolors' command and I've tried varying the color scheme with different 'dircolors' configurations but that doesn't seem to make any difference...'ls' outputs the colors assigned by 'dircolors' (e.g. I can change executables from green to blue) but I don't seem to be able to change the terminal's representation of the green or blue colors themselves. Another terminal=3Dnew started Konsole? It's known that changed color schem= es are only used by new Konsole instances. Is this all the bug report is about?

Just a small note (probably you know it already..) With CVS updated to 2002/12/01 the Konsole Schema still doesn't change. Let me know if you need further information about my configuration.
Fixed in HEAD.
