(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: khtml Version: 4.0 (using KDE 3.0.0 ) Severity: normal Installed from: SuSE Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (SuSE) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.16-4GB OS/Compiler notes: Image loading is disabled. When looking at http://www.bahn.de it *seems* that no alt texts are displayed (for example "Die Bahn"). When I move the mouse onto the image space the text becomes visible (red). I assume what happens is that the alt text is displayed in the same colour as the background colour. This should not happen. (Submitted via bugs.kde.org) (Called from KBugReport dialog)
Still present with yesterdays cvs (HEAD) It's the image in the top left corner.
Still present with 3.1rc3.
still present with 3.1.3 (suse 8.2 supplementary)
does anyone can reproduce this with 3.2RC1 or later ?

Just updated my KDE to Suse 9.0 with kde 3.2 (release). The ALT-Text on http://www.bahn.de/ for the icon on the top left is still invisible. The html-code on the page is as follows: <td><img src="../view/static/logo_die_bahn.gif" alt="Logo - Die Bahn" height="42" width="165" border="0" hspace="15"></td> so the ALT-Text should be showing.
still present with kde 3.2.2
still present with KDE 3.3.0 (suse rpms from supplementary as of today)
Still present with Suse 10.2, updated to suse rpms for 3.5.7 (10.1). See www.fg-networking.de for example: the alt tags for the buttons on the left are not displayed.
This seems to be fixed in 4.5.4, so this bug is closed.
