(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: kdeprint
Version: KDE 2.2.2
Severity: normal
Installed from: ALT Linux
Compiler: gcc version 2.96 20000731 (ALT Linux build 2.96-ipl14mdk)
OS: Linux (i586) release 2.4.17
OS/Compiler notes:

This bug is most important when you print web pages from Konqueror but it can related to other applications too.

I will describe it in applying to Konqueror.

When user want print not the whole webpage but only part of it with user-needed text - user confused. When I see webgage on Konqueror I don't know on wich printed page will be the part I need. Of corse I can select range of printed pages but I must do it BEFORE I can see printing preview. So as minimum in printing dialog must be a special button "print preview" (not radio-button as now) and if I don't know in this moment wich pages I want to print - I can press this button look preview in viewer select pages for printing etc...

Analogically needed feature as "print selected text only"

Best regards
George

My problem is like that but about kspread.

I nead for my users to select the area for a spread to be printed not only
all the spread and select the rows to be headers for columns in all the
page.

I need another think too: when I print this area I want to select if the
cells are to see or not (the lines between cells).

Thank you for the efforts.

KDEPrint is not responsible itself about the print content. For that part you
should file a bug(wish) report to kspread.

Michael.

These features are to be implemented on the application side.
