(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: kdevelop Version: 2.0.2 (using KDE 2.2.2 ) Severity: wishlist Installed from: SuSE RPMs Compiler: Not Specified OS: Linux OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified It should be possible to define groups and especially subgroups in a project which are *not* bound to any file pattern. You should also be able to drag'n'drop files into these 'free' folders easily. (Submitted via bugs.kde.org)
Definitely! I have a large project with files well organized in different directories. I need to group them freely like I do in Visual Studio .Net 2003.
The folders/grouping in the project manager depends solely on the buildsystem.
The original bug report was about the file groups plugin, it has nothing to do with the build system. Sorry apaku, reopening although I do not think this is a usefull feature.
This is essentially about "workingsets" you have in eclipse. It shouldn't just be about files, also targets/projects might be handy here. This will most probably come during KDevelop4 lifetime as we have a few devs specially interested in this.
*** Bug 94006 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
half of this is done now with the workingsets in kdev4.
I consider this done. Or do you see anything missing here?
