Description Raghavendra kamath 2015-10-25 08:31:00 UTC
Whenever I open a webp image with gwenview it say - " Loading ‘1.webp’ failed
Loading meta information failed." Webp is also not associated with gwenview.

I tried to open a sample webp from google webp gallery here -> https://developers.google.com/speed/webp/gallery1

I am on plasma 5 on arch, gwenview version is 15.08.2

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Right click a webp image and choose open with gwenview
2.image is not loaded

One of user on subreddit r/kde suggested installing qtimageformats.
This solved the gwenview loading issue. webp now loads in gwenview but file association is not set to gwenview by default and also dolphin doesn't show thumbnails for webp.
