(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: kmail Version: KDE 2.2.2 Severity: wishlist Installed from: Mandrake RPMs Compiler: Not Specified OS: Linux OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified when selecting the bounce option in kmail the bounce emails are created in the outbox but not sent. Sending one then sends all of them. All the emails remain in my inbox. It would be nice if I could delete these automatically (i.e. send them to the trash folder). A permenantly delete option would be nice too. (Submitted via bugs.kde.org)
I have the same problem in kmail v. 1.4.3 and 1.5; bounced mails remain in the outbox, and are not being automatically sent during automatic mail-check, even though kmail is configured to send mail in the outbox when checking for new mail. The mail in the outbox is sent only when I manually check for new mail, or when I send new mail.
Replaced darren@cseltd.net with null@kde.org due to bounces by reporter
Are you manually choosing for bounce or is there an filter which automatically bounces the e-mail? Since there has been some new versions of KMail, I would like to know if this still happends.
To prevent unnecessary mail activity I do not use the automatic bounce option any more.
Ok. If you use filters to bounce, you can move the message. Also, in KMail 1.7, there will be support for anti-virus and ant-spam software, so I think that can solve your problem as well. Besides that, the remaining problem in this report is that the messages are not automatically send but stay in the outbox. That is reported clearer in an other report. What I'll do is close this report, please vote for the other bugreport so it gets higher in the list. Thanks for the reply. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 61670 ***
