Description Barafu Albino Cheetah 2015-05-11 09:42:21 UTC
Installed Kubuntu 15.06, installed kpat.
On the first run, the cards are too small to see (about 5mm height). They still do work, though. "New deal" does not help, as well as going to game selector and starting the same game. Restarting application and choosing the same game does not help.
Choosing another game helps - the card sizes are back to normal again.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Delete all user files so it is started anew.
1.1 Change both skins to Egyptian before running any game.
2. Start Klondaik game.
3. The cards are very little, while everything else is empty space.
4. Restart / redeal the Klondaik - the cards are small.
5. Start another game - the cards are normal.

Actually, I 've seen this bug for years on different distros. Sorry that I didn't report earlier.

Since switching to QT 5.6 this problem started, I have a hidpi screen 3840x2160

It's the same for every card game in Kpat.

Plasma 5
Kpat Version 3.6

Using:
KDE Frameworks 5.20.0
Qt 5.6.0 (built against 5.6.0)
The xcb windowing system

George, how do you have HiDPI set up? Is it screen scaling or sddm/X11 dpi setting?

X11.

From the Xorg log.
[    83.563] (++) RADEON(0): DPI set to (113, 113)

But the problem has since fixed itself, I'm using QT 5.7.0, kde-frameworks 5.28.0 now.

But not exactly sure when it fixed itself, I had not tried any games for sometime after the problem appeared.

Interesting, I'm on 5.7 and Plasma 5.8.4 (KDE Neon User) and didn't see the problem so I was wondering.
