(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: kdevelop Version: kdevelop 2.0.1 (using kde 2.2.1-1) (using KDE 2.2.1 ) Severity: normal Installed from: RedHat RPMs Compiler: Not Specified OS: Linux OS/Compiler notes: running rh 7.2 using kde 2.2.1 rpm updates for roswell (rh72 beta) from kde site the watch window position is not saved when exiting kdevelop however it does save when exiting debug mode as long as you don't exit kdevelop itself. to recreate: create or use an existing project. unselect all "tree tool views" except group. now save everything and exit. then go back in to the project. the only tree tool view present should be group. now enter debug mode. a watch window will apear along with a class window outside of the normal kdevelop window. drag the watch window over to the top of the group window so that it is now in the main kdevelop window and close the classes window. now exit debug mode and go back into debug mode. the watch window should be in the same possition it was left in. now exit debug and exit kdevelop. now go back in open the project and get into debug mode. the watch and group window will pop up outside of the kdevelop window--arrrg. This annoys me much but I realize that there is a lot on the plate for the developers. If anyone could recommend a short term solution (by manually modifying the kdeveloprc file or something) to fix this I would appreciate it. I only use the group window when outside of debug mode (that's why I close all the other ones) and I want the watch window to popup when going into debug but not in a separate window. Thanks! Similar problems occur with kdevelop-3.0. This is a UI related issue though not debugger specific.
Actually, this no longer happens as of head! Close her up!
reported as fixed.
