Description sarefo 2001-11-04 20:28:14 UTC
(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: kdevelop
Version: 2.0.1 (using KDE 2.2.1 )
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: SuSE
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (SuSE)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.4-4GB
OS/Compiler notes:

i mistakenly entered 'developer' instead of 'designer' when associating my .ui files with a program.

so when i tried to open it by clicking on it inside kdevelop there came a message saying "exec developer could not be found" or something like that.

ok i made a grep for 'developer' and changed the .kde/share/applnk/.hidden/developer.kdelink that made the association. however it would probably be better to have an option inside of kdevelop to change this for example if you want to use a different program as an association for a file than you used before.

maybe that could be implemented as a context menu option.

This sounds more like a KDE global setting than a KDevelop one. Editing .ui files by hand
instead of using designer is a bit out of the scope of KDevelop. If you need to do that, just
open it with File->Open and edit it in the text editor.
