(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: konsole Version: 1.0.2 (using KDE 2.2.1 ) Severity: wishlist Installed from: SuSE Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (SuSE) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.9 OS/Compiler notes: A handy feature that saves time and mouse clicks -- a 'clone window' feature -- It duplicates the size and fonts settings of the current window -- not using saved defaults. Not only does this save the time in reseting fonts font size and window dimensions if you want another window of the same type but it's ergonomically better -- right click move and let go and a new window placed just slightly off center diagonally from the old and mouse in new window. Currently have to move to menu move visually locate correct icon move icon in second direction perpendicular to first then click on button then wait for new window to appear then move to the window to type. So it would be 1 right click and hold move and release vs. 3 moves and a click. :-) thanks and hope you like the suggestion... -linda (Submitted via bugs.kde.org) (Called from KBugReport dialog)

This is quite old; even before konsole had tabs. I'm not sure the reporter wants 'Duplicate Window' or 'Duplicate Tab'
it should be very simple to get a new (same) window. if it is very simple to get a new (same content) tab too it would be great.

This is a quite old wish. How should the request been interpreted in the context of KDE4 konsole ? " a 'clone window' feature -- It duplicates the size and fonts settings of the current window" In KDE4 konsole, size is shared by all tabs in on window, but font setting is per tab/profile.
Close it due to its unclear meaning in the context of KDE4 konsole.
