Description stephan 2014-09-08 20:13:28 UTC
When pasting a link into a tweet, Choqok issues a message, that it's abbreviating the link - but nothing is pasted into the tweet text - not the original link and also not the abbreviated one. It's not at all obvious to me, how to do this. What's the magic?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. copy link
2. paste link
3. message: link abbreviated
4. then nothing ...

Expected Results:
the abbreviated link should appear somewhere. information should be displayed, how to proceed.

Just disable the auto shorten URLs on paste in General tab of Configuration window.

But, before that tell me which shortening service/plugin is enabled on your Choqok? (It's in the same page of configurations)

Also you can change the shortening service/plugin.
Comment 3 stephan 2014-09-09 05:55:38 UTC
After turning the feature off, I can paste full size urls. It was set to
goo.gl. Now I turned it on again, restartet choqok, but now only the
fullsize urls are pasted. don't seem to be able to turn it on again.
regards,
Stephan

Is this a major bug or a support question?
Comment 5 stephan 2014-09-09 18:04:23 UTC
Just started computer newly and started choqok using bit.ly as
shortening service - and now it works as expected. So maybe it was just
a problem with goo.gl shortening service. So please regard it as a
support question - minor improvements regarding usability still exist.

stephan
