(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: konsole
Version: KDE 2.2.1
Severity: normal
Installed from: Mandrake RPMs
Compiler: gcc 2.96
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Mandrake 8.1

THis bug seems to be WM-independent. It occurs in both enlightenment17 and Kwin. There seem to be related bugs reported for kwin but perhaps they are the same thing. Once the cursor is moved from konsole and the cursor is still a carat it is unable to be used for normal purposes outside the Konsole window. Only clicking again in the Konsole window will fix this. Which is annoying!

I can only guess what you mean, hollow out cursor when no focus was introduced
with KDE 3.0.
