Mageia Linux uses oxygen-gtk and oxygen-gtk3 styles as default for gtk applications. On Mate Desktop, i' ve noticed that oxygen-gtk does not respects local theme gtkrc window colors if bg[SELECTED] used for defining this. You can investigate as an example xl_monochrome themes gtkrc file here: http://pastebin.kde.org/penzxbswb This issue does not occur if window border colors hardcoded into gtkrc. Only if bg[SELECTED] used. Thanks in advance. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install oxygen-gtk along with other gtk+2.0 themes 2. Change theme with a theme that uses bg[SELECTED] for window decoration colors Actual Results: You can notice that even current theme has a colour other than blue, it always displays that blue. Expected Results: Current theme window bordor colour settings should be applied. Uninstalling oxygen-gtk or changing default theme style in Mageia's default: /etc/gtk-2.0/gtkrc from gtk-theme-name = "oxygen-gtk" to gtk-theme-name = "any_other_theme" fixes this issue. This issue was reported in Mageia.org forums for Mageia 3 packages but at the time i did not investigate this issue well. See: https://forums.mageia.org/en/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=4867&start=25#p36162 https://forums.mageia.org/en/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=4867&start=25#p36256
thanks for reporting. Investigating
Also please look at this: https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7861 Same issue reported by another users.
https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7861 is unrelated. Has to do with packaging and config files, not with the way window decorations are rendered when using oxygen-gtk, as far as I know. Oxygen-gtk itself does not do anything to "install itself"
Thank you for the bug report. As this report hasn't seen any changes in 5 years or more, we ask if you can please confirm that the issue still persists. If this bug is no longer persisting or relevant please change the status to resolved.
