Description kanthoney 2001-09-25 19:52:34 UTC
(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: kmines
Version: 2.1.0 (17 July 2001) (using KDE 2.2.1 )
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: compiled sources
Compiler: gcc version egcs-2.91.66 19990314/Linux (egcs-1.1.2 release)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.2
OS/Compiler notes:

Disabled Emulate3Buttons option in XF86Config since my mousewheel doesn't work with this option (unless I've set it up wrongly of course.) Now I can't auto-reveal by clicking both mouse buttons and it's really affecting my best times :) Clicking mouse wheel works of course but feels horrible. Using the keyboard is slow.

Suggestion - make the following an option: left-click on an unopened case opens the case as usual. Left-clicking on an opened case (i.e. a number) auto-reveals. Right clicking flags as usual.

I don't think it's a good idea ; a wheel mouse has a middle button even if it
is not as conformtable as a standard button

anyway thanks for this year old bug report :)

lets reopen this bug since I have some similar complain:

I have one problem with it, and haven't found any version except the Windows
version that does this.

In Windows, I use the LEFT and RIGHT mouse button (at the same time) to
auto reveal mines, not the middle button. Unfortunately there is no way
to select that in your program. My question is there 1.) Any way I would
be able to convince you to add such a feature? Even have a go at the
code myself and for you to implement it? And 2.) Do you think there is
any work around. I thought there was a way to implement the 3rd button
with a 2 button mouse, but can't seem to find that anywhere. I am
unfortunately way to slow using the middle button after far to many
years using LEFT+RIGHT mouse.
