Description Vlado Plaga 2013-10-27 07:33:29 UTC
Application: plasma-desktop (4.11.2)
KDE Platform Version: 4.11.2
Qt Version: 4.8.4
Operating System: Linux 3.11.0-12-generic x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu 13.10

-- Information about the crash:
Since my upgrade from Kubuntu 13.04 to 13.10 my plasma panel keeps crashing at intervals of about 5 minutes. It immediately reappears, but still this is annoying. Full-screen applications expand and shrink during this process. This happened on two of my systems, with user accounts that had a similar (but independent, if I'm not mistaken) configuration. It does not happen on a rarely-used different user account. Also I could get rid of the problem by starting over with a new KDE configuration (by renaming ~/.kde). But that means a lot of work reconfiguring several applications...

The crash can be reproduced every time.

Yes, thank you, Jekyll Wu! I also had a slideshow folder with just one single image, one that got regularly updated by xplanet via cron. Adding more pictures solved the problem and is an acceptable workaround until KDE 4.11.3 in included in (K)Ubuntu.
