Description Dhaval 2013-09-07 08:17:51 UTC
If I'm copying a lot of files, be they mp3s or large movies or anything, some folders or rather quite a few folders will remain empty in the destination directory. For example if I'm copying from /home/user/Movies/ to /media/external_ntfs_drive/folder, some movies will be completely empty. I almost always copy between external NTFS and my internal ext4 drive. That's all I can really say. I'm on windows (since I need to copy a large number of files right now) so I can't paste the terminal output.

Also: I get no error or warning notification.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select a large number of files from a directory
2. Paste files into another folder
3.
Actual Results:
Several folders in the destination directory will be empty.

Expected Results:
All files copied correctly.

I do copy to and from my external NTFS drive to my internal ext4 drive, so perhaps that might help.

Thanks for the bug report. I cannot really say much about this - copying and moving files is handled by the KIO library for us.

Hi there,

I can also confirm this bug exists in the last several versions of Kubuntu. I am available to perform any testing if needed.
