Often when closing Krita i get a notification that "The audio playback device does not work." and that settings have been reset to default. I'm using Linux Mint 15 with the Cinnamon desktop. Suggestions on how to narrow down the causes of this bug would be appreciated. Reproducible: Sometimes
I also had feedback about it from user by emails using Ubuntu Main , Cinnamon and Gnome Shell. It's a common bug I also experiences on every Gnome3 based install without KDE all along. I think the closing of Krita windows/session , trigger a 'warning dialog', but a KDE one. And because the KDE dialog comes with a 'dong' sound ; the KDE system looks for it's sound system and fail to find it. So ; "The audio playback device does not work." should be the last message said. Try in a teminal : sudo apt-get install phonon-backend-gstreamer
That sounds logical... Though, unless it's the "Do you want to save" dialog, I'm not sure what dialog gets triggered.

I can hear the "Dong" sound in the "Do you want to save" dialog without installing phonon-backend-gstreamer. However, i did check "Do not ask again for these devices" and i have not seen this pop up since. So it could very well be related to this.
Okay, so that's not something we can do anything about in Krita. It's a packaging issue on the distribution side then. Please report it to Mint :-)
