Description Arjun AK 2013-07-22 12:47:59 UTC
Presence of a text file in the ~/.kde/Autoshare folder causes the entire system to freeze up upon login. The file type must be such that it gets opened by kate and it also should not have execute permission set on it. Upon login the system gets frozen ( does not respond to mouse clicks ) but responds to keyboard shortcuts such as "change virtual desktop", "activate desktop cube" etc. Killing kate from the terminal brings the system back to normal.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.$ touch ~/.kde/Autostart/extension-important.txt
2.logout and login
Actual Results:
System gets frozen

Expected Results:
Either open the text file using kate or ignore it.
