Example: Multi_key ' e = é (e with acute accent). On Sun keyboards Multi_key is bound to the "Compose" key on PCs to one of the Windows keys. As some of you already assumed this is a Qt and more specific a RedHat bug: They applied patch qt-2.3.1-xim-20010617.diff for japanese users to Qt which breaks dead keys for all other (great RedHat!).
