OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.4.3-20mdk
OS/Compiler notes: 

 When I set in control center - > personalization - > country & language charset to iso10646-1 I get squares in kdevelop books -> KDevelop -> Welcome to KDevelop and in books -> QT/KDE Libraries -> dcop-Library and in others. I can fix it if I set charset to iso8859-1 or modify kdeveloprc and insert:[Locale]
       iso8859-1
